Climbing Parchermo Peak (6273m) provides an unspoiled, less crowded, and more genuine Himalayan experience. It is located above Tashilapcha in Rolwaling valley. It is a simple snow peak with a well defined ridge rising from the mostly flat but crevassed glacier that still provides the primary summit access point. Consequently, climbing the summit needs expert mountaineering knowledge and skill (to use the ice axe, crampons walking with ropes). Long enough have the huge cliffs of the Gauri Shankar/Rolwaling region kept their secrets concealed; these wilderness and untamed valleys promise greatness and adventure. The renowned high mountain Sherpa people, who are thought to have migrated from eastern Tibet some four centuries ago, live in the Rolwaling valley and the Everest region. The Sherpas practice Buddhism and are more closely related to Tibet than many of their southern neighbors. Other ethnic groups include TAMANG, Brahmin, Chhetris, and Newar Thami jirel are prevalent in the lowland/southern valley of Rolwaling, which is inhabited by eachother. Trip highlights In the summer, yaks and other livestock can be seen grazing in the high pasturelands of Tso Rolpa, Tashi Laptsa (5755m), Na Beding, an ancestral Sherpa village, Mt. Guari Shanker (7135m), Pachermo peak (6273m), and other peak-surrounded regions.
